Why is Ceará the perfect place for kiteboarders to own real estate?

• The coastline between Fortaleza and Jericoacoara in Brazil's state of Ceará has one of the longest and most consistent wind seasons on earth, running from mid-July to mid-January.
  
  
• The weather is tropical year round with temperatures ranging from 77°F to 88°F (25°C to 31°C) and ocean temps averaging 79°C (26°C). There is a rain season from February through May.
  
  
• There are now regularly scheduled direct flights to the International airport in Fortaleza from both the US and Europe.
  
  
• While the growth of the region has being driven largely by the influx of kiters from around the world, and real-estate values have been rising, it has only been popular destination for kiters for a few seaosns. We expect continued development and significant increase in real-estate values over the next 5-10 years.
  
  
• There are miles and miles of undeveloped beaches, so it will always be easy to avoid crowded spots and downwind to your heart's content.

What makes Paracuru one of the most ideal kiteboarding locations and towns to own real estate?

• The Paracuru kite spot has unique combination of large dunes that produce a daily thermal wind acceleration to the already strong trade winds, as well as a large reef that at lower tides produces a flat water bay with waves outside.
  
  
• The kite spot has a beach-front restaurant with outdoor showers that serves fresh fish and other wonderful food and drinks (including fresh coconuts) all day long.
  
  
• The Taiba lagoon is a quick 10km dune buggy ride upwind via the beach, for a true butter-flat-water riding experience. When you're done, the downwinder back to Paracuru one of the best on the coast due to the various reefs along the way. Keep an eye out for sea turtles on the way back!
  
  
• The town is well-established with a vibrant local economy, and the only town along the coast to have its own local government and school system. An offshore oil platform also provides revenue to the town that has been used to improve all of the common spaces in town, including a brand new town square.
  
  
• There are a variety of restaurants, bars, and pousadas (small hotels) in and around town.
  
  
• The Fortaleza International airport is just over an hour away by car.
  
  
• It's no surprise that the owners of a number of well-known kiteboarding brands have already bought their own vacation homes here, and spend time here each year!
